WW1 L9 - What Was Life Like in the Trenches?

This lesson contains:
A starter to discuss some images and what they might tell us about living in the trenches.
Two YouTube videos to show what it might have been like.
A research activity using the double-page sources provided to investigate what conditions were like and extract info to complete their worksheet to categorise the information (e.g. rats, disease, trench foot etc).
An opportunity to judge and write about the worst part of being in the trenches.
A plenary to write a short letter home to complain about conditions in the trenches.
