Women's Suffrage L3 - Did the Suffragettes Help or Hinder Their Cause ?
This lesson contains:
- A depth study into the ways the Suffragettes were treated, looking at arrests, name and shaming, the hunger strikes and forced feeding, and the Cat and Mouse tactics. There are consolidation questions after each method and students use the information provided.
- An activity to then use a series of sources and quotes to build up arguments for and against whether the Suffragettes helped or hindered themselves and the cause.
- An opportunity for a final judgement.
