Cold War L20 - Collapse of the Iron Curtain

This lesson contains:
Details of the problems the USSR faced with its Satellite States, including poverty, low standard of living and harsh rulers.
A reminder of the Iron Curtain boundaries.
A recap of the 'New Thinking' of Gorbachev and the consequences it will have on Eastern Europe.
A main task to gather information from seperate info cards to complete the worksheet to show what happened to each satellite State and how they removed communism. This is done in order to help plan a narrative question.
The consequences of the fall of the Iron Curtain.
